The Departemental Computers in graphs

The idea to show our computer infrastructure in graphs was created on a yearly "CW party" organized by the students. They had organized a quiz between students and lecturers. One of the questions was: " How much disk space (in Mbytes) is connected to the machines at the department?" ( And nobody knew the answer...).

All graphs are based on actual data, including prices actually paid at the purchase date. Therefore our graphs lag in time on the information used by computer manufacturers for marketing and promotion.

Question we try to answer:

• How much processor capacity has/had the department ?
• How much memory is/was in their computers ?
• How much disk space do/did they use ?
